Mengidentifikasi Hubungan Antara Kosakata Dan Menuliskan Kalimat Pada Siswa Kelas VIII Di SMP Negeri 5 Palu

This research is a correlation research. It was conducted with the aim of identifying the relationship between students' vocabulary and writing sentences of grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 5 Palu. Its subjects were VIII grade students at SMP Negeri 5 Palu. From a total population of 133 students, 24 students were selected as the sample of this research. Its instruments were tests, namely vocabulary test and writing sentences test. Its results indicate that the students' vocabulary average is 82.22 and their writing sentence average is 71.65. The correlation coefficient between the two variables is 0.495. It is categorized as a moderate relationship. By comparing the value of r-counted and r-table, it can be obtained that r-counted is greater than r-table. It means that there is a positive and significant relationship between the students' vocabulary and writing sentences.
