MENINGKATKAN KEAMANAN DATABASE MELALUI IMPLEMENTASI TEKNIK KRIPTOGRAFI BERBASIS ALGORITMA RC4 (STUDI KASUS: BASIS DATA KEUANGAN DINAS KOPERASI DAN UKM DI KOTA PALU DAERAH PROVINSI SULAWESI TENGAH)

ABSTRACT

This research aims to implement the Rivest Code 4 Algorithm (RC4) by designing a Database Security system in the Office of Cooperatives and SmEs of Central Sulawesi Province. How to implement Rc4 Algorithm on the system that the author created. Rc4 is a type of code flow which means its encryption operation is performed per 1 byte character for a single operation, and one of the symmetric key algorithms created by RSA Data Security Inc (RSADSI) is a stream chipper. The algorithm was invented in 1987 by Ronald Rivest and became a symbol of RSA security (short for three inventor names: Rivest, Shamir, and Adleman). In this study, the authors conducted database security at the Cooperative Office because there was data theft, and encrypted the original data into data that is difficult to read and decrypt back to the original data.
