The objective of the research is to find out whether the application Team Game Tournament technique increasing students vocabulary or not. It is a True-Experimental research. It is conduct at the eight grade of Mts DDI Tinigi. The researcher gave a pre-test to measure the student previous ability in vocabulary after given treatment which is the application of team game tournament technique. The writer used. SPSS 16.0 program to analyze the data collection. The result of Team Game Tournament. The data indicates that mean score 83,17 of the experiment class was higher than the mean score of 64,46 of the control class. Then, the testing hypothesis showed that the value of tcount (tc) was greater than ttable (tt) (13,140 ? 1.667). In conclusion, The application of Team Game Tournament technique is effective to increasing students vocabulary.
