MENINGKATKAN PENGUASAAN KOSAKATA PADA SISWA KELAS DELAPAN SMP MODEL TERPADU MADANI MENGGUNAKAN PERMAINAN TEBAK KATA

This research aims at proving that the use of charadescan improve the vocabulary mastery of the eighth grade students of SMP Model Terpadu Madani. The research applied quasi experimental design with non-equivalent control group. The population was 94 students in academic year 2019/2020. The samples were 40 students selected employing purposive sampling technique. Paper and pencil method was used when collecting the data with a test asthe instrument.The test was administered twice namely pre-test and post-test. The data were analyzed statistically using .05 level of significance and 40 degree of freedom. Based on the data analysis, it was found that the students’ mean score ofthe experimental group post-test was80.05greater than the control group’s mean score, 67.57. Comparison the two tests of scale describes that t-counted value = 4.83> t-table value = 2.02. Therefore, Hawas accepted and Ho was rejected. It can be concluded that applying charades can improve the students’ vocabulary mastery.
