NILAI SOSIAL PADA NOVEL PULANG KARYA TERE LIYE

The problem of this research were what are the social value in the novel Pulang by Tere Liye. This research was aimed to describe the social value in the novel Pulang by Tere Liye. The approach used in this research is qualitative descriptive. The data collection technique used in this research was library research technique. Data analysis techniques consisted of (1) data reduction; (2) presenting data; and (3) conclusions. Data collection techniques which used are (1) read the whole novel as a subject of research; (2) understanding the content of the novel Pulang by Tere Liye; (3) discovered the social value of the novel Pulang by Tere Liye; (4) mark the text of the novel Pulang by Tere Liye; (5) classify the text of the novel Pulang by Tere Liye; and (6) conclude data results. The result showed that the social value in the novel Pulang by Tere Liye were devided into 6, namely (1) the value of affection; (2) mutual value; (3) value of cooperation; (4) loyalty value; (5) value of responsibility; and (6) tolerance value.
