Pemanfaatan Perpustakaan Sebagai Sumber Belajar Siswa Dalam Mata Pelajaran PKn Di SMP Negeri 14 Palu

The purpose of this study is (1) To find out why students do not use the library as a source of learning in Civics learning in SMP Negeri 14 Palu. (2) To find out how the teacher conditions students to use the library as a learning resource in Civics learning. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 14 Palu with descriptive research type. The research subjects consisted of nine people consisting of the Head of the Library, two Civics subject teachers, and six students who were also the research subjects. This research technique uses data analysis techniques namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification / conclusion. The results of this study indicate that (1) library utilization is still lacking because library materials that are relevant to Civics subjects are still lacking therefore students do not utilize libraries (2) in learning, Civics teachers use the method of giving assignments or story books or themed readings self experience. The assignment of these tasks is aimed at increasing students' reading ability.
