PEMBERDAYAAN PEREMPUAN SEBAGAI UPAYA MENINGKATKAN EKONOMI KELUARGA MELALUI PELATIHAN PEMBUATAN STIK KELOR

Women plays an important role in economic development and in increasing household welfare. However, obstacles such as fear of starting a business, lack of understanding of business opportunities, developing a business, lack of entrepreneurial creativity, and lack of skills in producing home industries cause that many women in Tambu Village do not own a businesses. Therefore, it is important to focus on the efforts to empower women in the economic sector. This article will discuss how to maximize potential of women in improving household economic welfare through training in making Moringa sticks. The purpose of this training is to explore and to hone women's skills as well as provide encouragement and motivation for women to be able to independently run a business. The results of observation and analysis reveals that empowering women through training, as well as mentoring and supporting can help women earn better income and strengthen their position in the family and the society. It is expected that the training that has been provided can help the community to improve the economic welfare of their families and be able to manage businesses.
