Abstract

Ademonika Welem Paluru, A 121 12 216. This skripsi entiled Teaching the Auxiliary Verbs Do and Does to the Year Seven Students through Transformation Drill, under the supervision of Konder Manurung.
The objective of this research is to prove that the use of Transformation Drill technique is effective in Teaching the Auxiliary Verbs Do and Does to the year Seven Students of SMP Karuna Dipa Palu. The researcher applied quasi experimental research. The research samples were (VII Virya) consisted of 20 students and (VII Metta) which consisted of 20 students. VII Virya was the experimental group and (VII Metta) was the control one. Experimental group was given the treatment, while the control group was not. The technique of data collection was test. The mean score of the pre-test was 35 and the post-test was78.5. In analyzing the data, the researcher used 0.05 level of significance and 38 degree of freedom / df (40-2). The t-counted was 9.85 greater than t-table 2.0252, and the hypothesis is accepted. It is implies that the application of Transformation Drill technique is effective in Teaching the Auxiliary Verbs Do and Does to the Year Seven Students of SMP Karuna Dipa Palu.
