PENGARUH AMPAS KOPI PADA MEDIA TANAM TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN SEMAI NANGKA (Artocarpus Heterophyllus Lamk) DI POLYBAG

A supporting factor that affects plant growth is the planting medium. A good planting medium can provide sufficient air and nutrients for plant growth. Coffee grounds are one of the organic materials that can increase the intake of Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium needed by plants so that they can fertilize the soil. This study aims to determine the effect of giving coffee grounds on growing media for jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lamk) seedlings in polybags.The research was conducted for 3 months, from December 2021 to March 2022, which is located in the BPDAS-HL Palu-Poso Permanent Nursery area, Tadulako University, Palu. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD), which consisted of 4 treatments, namely, K0 = control soil, K1 = (950 g soil + 50 g coffee grounds), K2 = (900 g soil + 100 g coffee grounds), K3 = (850 g soil + 150 g coffee grounds), with 8 replicates. Parameters observed were an increase in height, diameter, and the number of leaves. The measurement data were analyzed by means of variance and the Least Significant Difference (BNT) test at the 5% level.The results showed that the effect of coffee grounds on the planting medium had a very significant effect on the increase in height and diameter of jackfruit seedlings. The best growth of jackfruit seedlings was obtained in K3 treatment (850 g soil + 150 g coffee grounds), the growth parameters were height (3.95 cm), diameter (0.72 mm), and the number of leaves (4.62 strands).
