Abstract

White teak (Gmelina arborea Roxb.) is one of the species developed in the development of plantation
forests, especially community forests. Bokashi is an organic material that is fermented using EM-4.
This study aims to determine the effect of various doses of cow dung bokashi fertilizer on the growth of
white teak (Gmelina arborea Roxb.) seedlings in the field. This research was conducted for three
months, from February to May 2022, which took place in the Faculty of Forestry, Tadulako
University. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method with 5 treatments and 8
replications. Parameters observed were seedling height, stem diameter, and number of leaves.
Furthermore, the analysis of variance F test was used. The results of the analysis showed that the
application of various doses of cow dung bokashi fertilizer had a significant effect on the increase in
height and diameter of the seedlings while the increase in the number of seedlings had no significant
effect. The results showed that the application of various doses of cow dung bokashi fertilizer with
treatment (P4) gave the best results in increasing the height of the seedlings, which was 4.88 cm and
the best number of leaves was 4.75 strands. The best diameter increase in treatment (P1) was 2.19
mm.
