Using Youtube Channel In Teaching Listening Skill To Grade
Eleven Students Of MAN 2 Palu

YouTube is the most popular video site today. Youtube can be a source of
learning and learning media that can meet the demands of the digital generation.
Listening is one of the language skills that must be mastered by junior high school
(SMP) to senior high school (SMA) students based on the Independent Curriculum
(Kurikulum Merdeka), based on one of the objectives of the eleventh grade of
MAN 2 Palu. The students can listen to various examples of short videos narrative text provided. In this study, the researcher used purposive sampling, taking grade
XI F with a total of 36 students as the pre-experimental group. The result of data analysis show the average score of students' post test after being taught using Youtube (77.50) was higher than the pre-test score before being taught using
Youtube (58.61). Based on the result of the data analysis, it can be concluded that
the use of YouTube channels can improve the listening skills of grade XI students
of MAN 2 Palu.
