The objective of this research are identifying (1) the forms of local wisdom exist at SMP Negeri 3 Sigi in Bolapapu Village, Kulawi Sub-district, Sigi Regency; (2) the role of local wisdom in developing social discipline values of SMP Negeri 3 Sigi in Bolapapu sub-district, Kulawi regency. This is a qualitative research that employed SMP Negeri 3 Sigi students as the suject. The informans were6 people consisted of one radisional leader, two members of tradisonal institutions, one headmaster, and two students . Technques of data collection were observation, interview, and documentation. The collected data were analysed in three stages; they were data observation data reduction, and data verification. The results indicated that the local wisdo of Ombo nd siga has a reasonably significant role in developing the social discipline of the studentds through teaching social orderliness, building students social interaction, and teaching social care.
