Permasalahan Siswa Dan Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Keterampilan Berbicara Dalam Konteks Indonesia

This study is aimed to find out what problems and factors affecting speaking skill
in Indonesia. This study used library research. The data are collected by the
documentation technique. The data is collected from 15 academic writings which
is journal articles that related to the topic. Based on the findings, it is found out that
the problems of speaking students encounter are inhibition, lack of topical
knowledge, low participation and morher-tongue use. While factors affecting in
speaking is Cultural factors, linguistic factors and psychological factors.
Apperantely, the most problems of speaking students encounter are inhibition
(94%) and the most factrors affecting speaking skills is psychological factors
(80%). The best solution for this prombles is the teachers need to be more friendly
in teaching English. Especially in deciding which methods or strategy they will use.
