PERTUMBUHAN DUA VARIETAS CABAI MERAH KERITING (Capsicum Annum L.) PADA PERLAKUAN BERBAGAI KONSENTRASI PUPUK ORGANIK CAIR (POC)

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to identify the growth and yield of two varieties
of curly red chili on the application of various concentrations of Liquid Organic Fertilizer
(POC), to select the varieties of curly red chili that gave the best growth and yield, and
the sensitivity of the concentration of the best liquid organic fertilizer to increase plant
growth and yield. curly red chili. This research was carried out in Tondo Village,
Mantikulore District, Palu, Central Sulawesi, from October 2020 to March 2021. This
study was compiled using a factorial randomized block design (RAK). There are two
factors studied, the first factor is the curly red chili variety which consists of 2 varieties
namely Lado and Laju varieties, the second factor is the concentration of Liquid Organic
Fertilizer (POC) which consists of 6 levels, namely control or without POC 0 ml L water-
1.25 ml POC L water-1, 50 ml POC L water-1, 75 ml POC L water-1, 100 ml POC L
water-1, and 125 ml POC L water-1. The results showed that the interaction of POC
concentration and chili plant varieties could increase the growth and yield of chili plants,
the best interaction in POC treatment with several varieties of chili was at the POC
concentration of 100 ml L water-1 with Lado variety with an average plant height value.

ABSTRAK
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pertumbuhan dan hasil dua
varietas cabai merah keriting pada pemberian berbagai konsentrasi Pupuk Organik Cair
(POC), menyeleksi varietas cabai merah keriting yang memberikan pertumbuhan dan
hasil terbaik, sensitivitas konsentrasi pupuk organik cair yang terbaik dalam
meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman cabai merah keriting. Penelitian ini
dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Tondo, Kecamatan Mantikulore, Palu, Sulawesi Tengah, pada
Bulan Oktober 2020 sampai Maret 2021. Penelitian ini disusun menggunakan Rancangan
Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial. Ada dua faktor yang diteliti, faktor pertama adalah
varietas cabai merah keriting yang terdiri dari 2 varietas yaitu Varietas Lado dan Laju, faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) yang terdiri dari 6 taraf yaitu
kontrol atau tanpa pemberian POC 0 ml L air-1, 25 ml POC L air-1
, 50 ml POC L air-1, 75 ml POC L air-1, 100 ml POC L air-1, dan 125 ml POC L air-1. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa interaksi konsentrasi POC dan varietas tanaman cabai dapat
meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman cabai, interaksi terbaik pada perlakuan
POC dengan beberapa varietas tanaman cabai terdapat pada konsentrasi POC yaitu 100
ml L air-1
dengan Varietas Lado dengan nilai rata-rata tinggi tanaman terbaik pada umur 8
MST dengan nilai 69,00, luas daun nilai rata-rata terbaik pada umur 83 HST dengan nilai
75,11, umur berbunga nilai rata-rata terbaik dengan umur 30,00, umur panen nilai rata-
rata terbaik dengan umur 94,00, panjang buah nilai rata-rata terbaik dengan nilai 18,55,
Berat Buah nilai rata-rata terbaik dengan nilai 54,33, pemberian berbagai konsentrasi
POC dan varietas cabai berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman
cabai, pemberian konsentrasi pupuk organik cair 100 ml L air-1 dengan varietas lado
memberikan hasil yang terbaik.
