PROFIL PENALARAN ANALOGI SISWA SMA DALAM MEMECAHKAN MASALAH SISTEM PERSAMAAN LINEAR BERDASARKAN JENIS KELAMIN

The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of the analogy reasoning profile of high school students in solving problem of linear equations review of gender. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach based on analogical reasoning components according to English. The result showed that the analogy reasoning profile of student in solving problem of linear equations was encoding, inferring, mapping, and applying. First, the analytical reasoning profile of male and female students at the encoding stage, i. e. Identifying information contained in the source and target problems. Second, the analytical reasoning profile of male and female students at the inferring stage, namely determining the relational structure of problem solving sources. Third, the analytical reasoning profile of male and female students at the mapping stage, namely mapping the structure of problem solving from source to target problem. Fourth, the analytical reasoning profile of male and female students at the applying stage, namely the application of the relational stucture of problem solving to the target problem.
