Background: SARS-Cov2 is virus mimics symptoms of SARS and MERS that attack human immune systems (T Lymphocyte, B Lymphocyte, and Monocyte), and thus required an analysis of monocyte to lymphocyte ratio in patients with positively confirmed Covid-19 virus.
Aims: This study aimed to compare monocyte to lymphocyte ratio in patients with positive and negative PCR Covid-19.
Methods: This study used analytical observational design employed secondary data. Subjects were patients with suspected Covid-19 randomly assigned into 2 groups (positive and negative PCR) with 30 respondents in each group. The MLR values were compared and analyzed by Mann-Whitney test.
Results: The results of the study showed significant difference of monocyte value (p<0.03) between groups with higher value in positive to negative PCR groups. Also there was significant increase of MLR values (p=0,005) between groups with higher value in positive to negative PCR groups.
Conclusion: There was significant difference of monocyte to lymphocyte ratio between groups of positive and negative PCR.
