Strategi Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Dearah Dalam Penanggulangan Bencana Banjir Desa Rogo Kecamatan Dolo Selatan

Natural disasters are prevalent in our environment. One disaster that is quite
dangerous is flooding. Floods are caused by high temperatures over many years
resulting in sea level rise which causes flooding and coastal erosion in coastal
areas. Therefore, it requires proper countermeasures. Rogo Village, South Dolo
District is one of the areas prone to flood disasters, thus effective and efficient
prevention and mitigation efforts are needed. This study aimed to increase
awareness and knowledge of reader about the community empowerment strategy
of the Agency for Disaster Countermeasure (BPBD) Sigi in managing flood
disasters. The study method was qualitative with a study case approach. The
present study employed data triangulation technique, three different data sources,
namely interview, observation, and documentation. Therefore, hopefully this
study can provide theoretical and practical benefits for readers as well as the
reference for developing the community empowerment program in managing
flood disaster in other places.
