STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN USAHATANI JAGUNG DI DESA BONGKA MAKMUR KECAMATA ULUBONGKA KABUPATEN TOJO UNA-UNA

Bongka Makmur Village is the largest corn producer in Ulubongka District, but even though it is the largest contributing village to corn production and has the largest harvest area, the production and productivity of corn farming in Bongka Makmur Village is still not optimal. This is due to the fact that the utilization of human resources has not been maximized in the context of corn farming groups, the cropping system used is still a sedentary cropping system and is still classified as conventional. lack of supporting infrastructure, fluctuating prices, no use of fertilizers in the corn farming process. The purpose of this research is to find out the corn farming development strategy in Bongka Makmur Village, Ulubongka District, Tojo Una-Una Regency. This research was conducted in Bongka Makmur Village, Ulubongka District, Tojo Una-Una District from December 2021 to February 2022. The location of the research was determined purposively (purposively) with the consideration that Bongka Makmur Village is the largest corn-producing village in Ulubongka District, Tojo Una Regency. -Una. The results of the study show that the position of the corn farming development strategy is in quadrant 1, indicating that the farmers are in a (positive, positive) condition. This position indicates that farmers are in a position to face great opportunities. The strategy used by farmers is based on the SWOT quadrant matrix, namely S – O.
