STUDI IMPLEMENTASI WORD SEARCH GAME DALAM PENGAJARAN KOSAKATA

The objectives of this research are to describe the procedure of implementing the Word Search Game in teaching vocabulary mastery and to analyze the success of the implementation of the Word Search Game in teaching vocabulary mastery. A Word Search Game is a type of game designed to help students improve their vocabulary mastery. This study was conducted through the library research method. The data source was taken from Dunlap (2013) as the primary data and scientific writing on the implementation of the Word Search Game as the secondary data. The secondary data consists of five academic papers; Anggreni (2017), Um (2018), Sulistyorini (2020), Ningsih (2021), Maylani, Harmer & Handayani (2021). The studies either adapted the procedure proposed by Dunlap (2013) or adapted the procedures from another writer. The data was analyzed using content analysis, the results show that five scientific papers implemented the Word Search Game in different ways and do not have a negative impact on a student's vocabulary. Furthermore, students’ vocabulary mastery improves after implementing the Word Search Game in the classroom. The reseacher argues that the implementation of the Word Search Game in teaching vocabulary mastery has a positive effect because the students’ vocabulary has improved as a result of the research.
