Abstract

This study was conducted through Library Research Design was aimed at describing the implementation of Audio-lingual Method in Teaching Speaking. The data described were taken from research articles published within 2017-2021. There were at least five studies used as the data sources in this study. Most of the research applied the same technique in the implementation of the Audio-Lingual Method, i.e. Dialog Memorization, Repetition Drills, Chain Drill, Question and Answer Drill, and Grammar Games. The most influential components are Dialog Memorization and Repetition Drill which are the characteristic of this technique. The studies described the data by employing the theory of Audio-Lingual Method by Larsen-Freeman (2002). The implementation of Audio-Lingual Method in different types studies revealed results, i.e the Audio-Lingual Method can improve students’ achievement in speaking.
