Abstract

Herbs are plants or medicinal plants that can be utilized for traditional treatment of diseases. One of the diseases that can be treated using medicinal plants is uric acid disease. The purpose of this research is to know the type of plants, parts, how to process and use plants, the length of time of use and the required dose, and to know the study of the literature of the chemical compounds contained medicinal herbs used as Traditional medicine treatment of uric acid by the Kaili Lauje tribe. Qualitative methods are used to determine the use of plants to treat uric acid disease. The high percentage of the use of leaf parts is 80% compared to 10% rod and 10% fruit as a medicinal material appears to be related to several advantages such as number or productivity of more leaves. Plants and plant parts used are celery leaves, Daun Salam, leaves Meniran, red betel leaf, water stem, cat root, Malu princess, Sidaguri leaves, Siamese pumpkin fruit, Kamonji leaves. The length of time it takes for the treatment of uric acid is ? 1 week to 1 week S/d 1 month. Chemical compounds that are conceived by medicinal plants used as a traditional medicine to treat uric acid in the tribe of Lauje in the South Tinombo sub-district of central Sulawesi, namely flavonoids, Epigenin, tannins, alkaloids, essential oils, Steroids.
