UJI EFEKTIVITAS MASKER WAJAH PEEL-OFF EKSTRAK KOPI ROBUSTA (Coffea Canephora) KONSENTRASI 2,5 % TERHADAP KELEMBAPAN KULIT WAJAH

Background: Dry skin is one of the problems that are often found in the community. In dealing with these problems, facial skin care is needed. One form of facial skin care is the use of facial masks in peel-off preparations. Facial masks can be formulated from organic ingredients such as robusta coffee beans. Robusta coffee beans (Coffea Canephora) function as antioxidants that can moisturize facial skin.

Objective: Knowing how the effectiveness of robusta coffee extract (Coffea Canephora) peel-off face mask at a concentration of 2.5% on facial skin moisture

Methods: This research is a Quasi-Experimental research with pre-post design. The sample was residents of Tadulako University. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The instrument used was skin analyzer and bivariate analysis test using Friedman test and Wilcoxon test.

Results: The results of the Friedman test showed a p value of 0.211 (p>0.05) and the p value of the Wilcoxon test at week 0 to 2 was 0.074, week 2 to 4 was 0.210 and week 0 to 4 was 0.844. From both statistical tests, it shows that there is no significant effect on the use of robusta coffee extract peel-off face masks with a concentration of 2.5%.

Conclusion: Robusta coffee extract (Coffea Canephora) peel-off face mask with a concentration of 2.5% has no effect on facial skin moisture.
