This
research
aimsatproviding a clear description about the
implementation of classroom grouping in teaching writing skill. More
specifically, it is to describe the implementation of group work and its impact on
students‟ achievement in teaching writing skill at MAN 2 Model Palu. This
research employed Descriptive Qualitative method. Its sampleswere 1 English
teacher of MAN 2 Model Palu and 19 students of grade XI Religion 2. Its data
were
obtained from questionnaire, interview, observation checklist,
documentation, and recording. Data analysis was ongoing process in order to
anticipate the possibility of data exaggeration. Its findings indicate that the teacher
implements group work properly and innovatively. The students get higher score
when they write in groups than individually. Thus, the implementation of
classroom grouping in teaching writing skill has positive impact on the
successfulness of the students‟ writing skill achievement.
