Copra farming is one of the main livelihoods of the people of Tulo Village, but
the income from this business has not shown maximum results. Copra is a
processed product of dried coconut meat, is a superior commodity with high
economic value in the local and national markets. Among the eleven villages in
Dolo District, Tulo Village ranks first as the largest copra producer. This
indicates that the people of Tulo Village have long developed coconut
cultivation as one of their main sources of livelihood. The study aims to
determine the extent to which the copra business can become a decent source
of livelihood. By determining the level of income from copra uzaha.
The location of this research was chosen intentionally (purposive) with the
consideration that Tulo Village is the largest copra producer of all villages in
Dolo District. This research was conducted in May-July 2025. This research
used a census method as a technique for determining respondents. The total
population of this research was 25 copra entrepreneurs so that the
respondents were 28 copra entrepreneurs because it used a census method.
The number of samples used in this study was considered to have represented
the total number of coconut farmers who cultivate copra in Tolo Village, Dolo
District, Sigi Regency. The analysis used in this study was income analysis (r)
The analysis of the copra business shows quite profitable economic
performance. Total production per harvest reaches 554 kg, with a price of Rp
17,750 per kg, resulting in a total income of Rp 9,790,179 per harvest. While
the total cost of the copra business is Rp 4,359,554, and the total profit
obtained reaches Rp 4,930,624, this business is very prospective to be
developed both individually and through a farming group scale.
